This quarter, we’re making a couple of important updates to title status indicators and guest attendance. These updates will bring more consistency across all auctions.

New Title Availability Policy

We are establishing a single standard for title disclosure across the marketplace: Unless a seller explicitly states in the vehicle “Announcements” or “Title Status” section that the title is present and in hand, buyers should assume the vehicle title is absent at the time of purchase.

This change aligns practices that previously varied among different auctions and reduces uncertainty from the buying process. Blue lights will no longer be a dependable indicator of title status, though they may still appear based on regional customs. Buyers should review all Announcements and disclosures carefully. New Guest Attendance Policy

To provide a consistent experience across all Manheim locations and formalize practices already in place at most auctions, we are introducing an official Manheim Guest Attendance Policy.

This policy helps maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment for our clients and team members. Access to Manheim auction locations is limited to authorized customers and guests conducting legitimate wholesale business.

Eligible guests may include dealership employees, principals, vendors, and service providers with a valid business purpose at the location. Retail shoppers, prospective retail buyers, and consumers seeking a vehicle for personal use are not permitted unless specifically authorized by Manheim. Read the full policy here.
