Introducing the Timed Sale Listing Policy  |  Effective October 13, 2026

Starting October 13, 2026, Manheim is introducing a Timed Sale Listing Policy, a new marketplace-wide standard that keeps active listings fresh and priced in step with the market. Buyers will notice a cleaner, more relevant set of listings, and sellers who actively manage their listings will find it easier to stand out.

What This Means for Buyers

  • Faster, more relevant searches — spend less time scrolling past listings that no longer reflect the market, and more time evaluating vehicles that actually fit what you’re looking for
  • Pricing you can trust — listings are consistently benchmarked against real market values, so you’re not left guessing whether a price reflects today’s market
  • Fresh inventory to check back for — as sellers keep pricing current, new and repriced vehicles continue cycling into the marketplace, giving you more reason to return often

What This Means for Sellers

This policy rewards sellers who actively manage their listings, and gives every seller a clear, simple way to stay active:

  • Greater visibility for competitively priced listings among active, ready-to-buy audiences
  • Advance notice before any listing is affected, delivered through the platform and email
  • A simple way to bring a listing back to active status if it’s ever impacted

Most vehicle types are included, with a few exceptions such as Specialty and Commercial Truck & Equipment inventory.
