To ensure a consistent experience for buyers purchasing across Manheim’s nationwide locations, the following standards apply to disclosures related to title availability:
1. Default Title Status
Unless a Seller explicitly announces or declares “Title Present” at the time of sale, the title is considered absent at the time of purchase. The Seller remains accountable for delivering a negotiable title to Manheim within the timeframe specified under that location’s Title Policy, as published on Manheim.com. The day of sale counts as Day 1.
2. “Title Present” Declarations
When a Seller announces or declares “Title Present” at the time of sale, the Seller is accountable for delivering a negotiable title to Manheim within three (3) business days of the sale. The day of sale counts as Day 1.
3. Absent Title Claims
If a Seller fails to deliver title within the required timeframe, Buyers may file an absent title claim through Manheim.com. Claims must be submitted in accordance with Manheim’s Marketplace Policies.
