Notifications and Preferences Best Practices

Whether you’re a regular user or a first-time visitor, it’s important to customize your notification preferences to align with your business needs. Here’s a guide on how to set them up.

1. Access Your Account

  • Login to your Manheim account.
  • Navigate to Profile and Security to manage your details and preferences.

2. Confirm Account Information

Ensure your information is up to date:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Password (if you need to change it)

3. Manage Accounts

If you handle multiple accounts, you can:

  • View all associated dealerships and users.
  • Manage access (add/remove people) through Auction Access.

4. Set Up Title Delivery Preferences

  • Choose how you want to receive vehicle titles:
    • Pick-up at Auction: Select your preferred location for pick-up.
    • Mailing Options: Enable shipping to your preferred address.
    • Shipping Address: Ensure your mailing address, lot address, or a custom address is accurate.
  • Shipping Method:
    • Best practice: Set up a FedEx account for secure, trackable title delivery.
    • Once set, you can monitor all title deliveries through your FedEx account.

5. Set Up Recall Services

  • Enable or manage recall notifications for vehicles you purchase.

6. Payment Preferences

  • Apply Account Credits: Choose how you want to make payments for vehicles (single payments or differences between transactions).
  • Automatic Payments: Enable automatic payments for vehicles you sell or purchase.
    • Receiving Payments: Set up direct deposit for quick and efficient payment processing through your bank account.
    • Automatic Payment Withdrawals: Enable automatic fund withdrawals for vehicles you purchase.

7. Enable Notifications

You can choose to receive notifications for various activities:

  • Late Fees: Get notified via text or email if late fees are applied.
  • Bidding Notifications: Receive a text if you are outbid on an OV vehicle.
  • Vehicle Review: Get notified if a vehicle is in the review period but hasn’t met the floor.
  • Payment Activity: Stay updated on payment activity and its frequency.
  • Repair and Recall Status: Track repair and recall statuses of vehicles you purchase.
  • Title Status: Get text/email notifications about title status for the vehicles you’ve bought.
  • Transactional Updates: Receive alerts for specific transactions.
  • Lane Alerts: Get notified when a vehicle is about to cross the block.
  • Vehicle Status: Track the status of vehicles as they leave the lot or move through different stages.

8. Review and Confirm Changes

  • After making adjustments to any of your preferences, be sure to review and save your changes.
