Late Payment Policy

As we continue to provide you with secure, convenient ways to make payments online for Manheim facilitation locations, we’ve updated our Late Payment Policy, effective December 4, 2022.

What changed?

Payment is still due on the date of purchase, but there is now a 3% late fee* applied after business day 3 of aging.  If payment is not received by the end of business day 3 of aging, a 3% late fee will be assessed. Buying privileges will be suspended after business day 4 of aging.

How are aging days calculated?

Aging begins on the latest date of the following and is considered day one:

  • Sale date
  • Title received date
  • Arbitration resolution date

Aging calculations are based on business days.

How much is the late fee?

  • 3% of the sale price plus the buy fee, and any other charge added to the vehicle price (PSI, DealShield, etc.).
  • Minimum $40 and maximum $400

How do I avoid paying late fees?

To avoid late fees, pay online on Manheim.com with ACH or Floor Plan. Please use the following resources to assist you with online payments and preferences.

*Note: For Canadian customers selling or purchasing vehicles located in Canada only, the late fee is calculated as follows: 2% of the sale price plus the buy fee and any other charge added to the vehicle price (PSI, DealShield, etc.), subject to a minimum of CAD$5 and a maximum of CAD$150.
