Manheim is committed to making the buying and selling process as easy and convenient as possible. The Manheim Vehicle Availability Policy is designed to provide buyer confidence in our listings and to hold sellers accountable for managing and representing their listings accurately.
For any vehicle listed and sold on Manheim.com and facilitated through a Manheim auction, Seller must make the vehicle available at the listed pickup location within three (3) business days of the sale date. In all cases, Sale Day is Day 1. In addition to other arbitration remedies Manheim or the Buyer may invoke, the Seller may be assessed a fee of up to $500 to compensate the Buyer for each sale not fulfilled, which fee will be passed on to the Buyer as outlined below.
This policy applies to Simulcast Live¹ and Timed² sale transactions facilitated through Manheim auctions. A Vehicle Availability violation occurs when a Buyer had a reasonable expectation of completing a purchase and the Seller fails to make the vehicle available within three (3) business days of the sale date. In all cases, Sale Day is Day 1 of the three business days. These situations are referred to as an “UNBUY” and are reviewed and determined by the facilitation location’s team members at their sole discretion.
There are five (5) reasons which may qualify for a Buyer inconvenience disbursement and Seller penalty
*Any price variance that is obvious to a reasonable buyer can disqualify vehicles from this policy (in Manheim’s sole discretion).

Where such fee is assessed to the Seller, a disbursement is applied to the Buyer’s account. Any vehicle that is made available to Buyer and then arbitrated or unwound does not qualify for Vehicle Availability assessments.
¹“Simulcast Live” sales on Manheim.com are Auctioneer-led offerings on specific dates and times in a live video and audio streaming environment.
²“Timed” sales on Manheim.com are vehicles available to purchase 24 hours a day and 7 days a week in a Bid/ Proxy, Bid, Buy Now, or Make Offer environment.
