Additional Arbitration Policy for Manheim Maryland

All arbitration must be handled through the Auction Arbitration Department. 
Arbitration claims must be submitted within (1 Hour) after the lane (in which it was purchased) closes. 

The Arbitrator will inspect ONLY the defect which is on the arbitration form. Each vehicle is allowed (1) mechanical arbitration. If price adjustment is made and accepted, vehicle becomes AS-IS property of the Buyer and is not subject to any further arbitration for mechanical defects or adjustments. 

Arbitration Issues that require immediate management attention before 5PM on the day of the Auction: 

• Inoperable Odometers 

• Missing/Deployed Airbags (Green Light Units Only) 

• Inoperable Emission Control Equipment ($500 Repair Limit) 

***All Vehicles Must Remain Onsite Until These Issues are Inspected*** 

The following items are NOT subject to arbitration: 

• Vehicles OVER 20 Years Old (AS-IS) 

• Minor Mechanical Repairs UNDER $500 

• Clutch & Other Wearable Items 

• Visible Defects 

• Air Conditioning Defects 

• Oil Leaks (Unless Excessive) 

• Transmission Leaks (Unless Excessive) 

• Power Accessory (Includes Sunroof & Convertible Top) 

• Audio/Visual Equipment 

• Missing Navigation Disks 

• Check Engine Light 

• ABS Light 

• Airbag Light 

• Seat Belt Light 

(Light Exception: Root Mechanical Issue resulting in a Repair Cost of $500+) (Green Light Only) 

The Auction CANNOT Guarantee accuracy of Vin, Year or Model on Powersports & Antique Vehicles: 

• All of these Vehicles are sold AS-IS 

• Titles are NOT Guaranteed on these vehicles 

• No Odometer Guarantee 

• No Frame Guarantee 

Examples: 

• Trailers 

• Watercrafts 

• Outdoor Recreational Vehicles 

• “Modified” Vehicles 

• “KIT” Vehicles 

The Auction CANNOT Guarantee accuracy of: 

• Factory Warranty /Dealer Warranty Issues 

• Electronic Vehicle Data History Accuracy (AutoCheck) (CarFax) 

Arbitrations WILL NOT be based solely on prior EVDH Data.
