Vehicle Accessories Policy

Updated: August 5, 2024

The following is meant to clarify Manheim’s interpretation and application of the NAAA Arbitration Policy on vehicle accessories. Often a vehicle’s essential components (including those covered items under Appendix I of NAAA Arbitration Policy), will have external or adjacent parts that are integral to the functionality of these essential components.

The NAAA policy on vehicle accessories shall not be construed to exclude these types of external or adjacent parts from arbitration.

  • If an essential component or covered item will not operate or function properly without the external or adjacent part in question, that part will not be considered an accessory.
  • The exception to this rule will be wearable items, which are also defined by the NAAA Arbitration Policy.
